Interim research findings show no evidence of bias towards new migrants in social housing allocation 2008

Interim findings of research into social housing allocation have found no evidence that the system favours recent migrants. The research is being conducted by the Institute for Public Policy Relations (IPPR) on behalf of the Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and the Local Government Association (LGA).

The full results will be published later this year (2008). The interim findings are complemented by the results of a survey of Local Authority housing managers conducted by the LGA.
